I’m happy to say that I saw more changes in my life and attitudes in my first month working with Lucinda than in the previous 30 years of traditional talk therapy. While she is willing to just talk anytime I need to vent, Lucinda has a whole “toolbox” of methods and she is very proactive in helping find the right solution that will work for me. Its not just sitting and talking about your problems anymore, there is so much more available, and it works.
I’m so thankful to have found New Life Counseling. It really has given me a new life, new outlook, new hope and true healing from past traumas that I thought would haunt me forever. CK – Knoxville”
“I want to say thank you. Thank you for just being you. I was terrified the first time I came to your office. I thought about just turning around and going home. Thank you for never giving up on me, even when I gave up on myself. You were and still are, always there. There is so much power in that. Thank you for being my biggest supporter. You never seemed disappointed in me. I appreciate that so much. If I messed up, there was never a time when you said I shouldn’t have done that. It was always, “How can we work on that?” Thank you for being such a constant in my life when everything felt so shaky.
Thank you for making me not only feel safe, but for making sure I was safe. I know it took a while, and I am sure there were times you felt like we were getting absolutely nowhere, but again, thank you for never losing faith in me. Hearing you say you were proud of me was one of the best feelings because I knew you truly meant it. You saw me at my lowest lows and you met me right there. You never tried to fix anything. You never belittled my feelings or made me feel like my issues weren’t big enough. You cared and you were there. You made yourself available to me. I know you didn’t have to, so thank you. Thank you for helping me calm down when I felt like the world was crashing down around me. Thank you for talking me off the ledge. Thank you for asking the hard questions and for allowing me to share my darkest thoughts without a negative reaction. Thank you for reminding me that I have the right to feel whatever I need to feel, but always assuring me that those feelings are just that, feelings. They do not define me.
Thank you for helping me become the person I am now. Thank you for helping to teach me that what I have been through is nothing to be ashamed of. It was scary at first, but putting myself out there and sharing my story was the best choice I could have made. I couldn’t have done it without your support.
You definitely are not just someone who listens to my sob stories for an hour or so every week. Maybe that’s who I thought you were going to be. But you have become a friend—someone I look forward to seeing each week and someone I can never wait to share things with. Thank you for being someone I can trust. You told me in the beginning that you pray for God to send you the right people. I firmly believe this has been a divine intervention and only something He could have orchestrated by putting us together. For that, I am forever thankful. So thank you for being obedient and sharing your gifts and following wherever God leads you.” ~A. – Twenty-something

Lucinda is absolutely amazing. She worked with me several months after I suffered trauma after my boyfriend suddenly passed. We really went deep and the EMDR treatment was super effective. She asks the right questions and knows how to pinpoint things other therapists don’t normally catch. So grateful to have found her. High recommend!
